Accountancy & Business Advice

We can provide assistance to your business in many ways including the preparation of financial accounts, business plans, cash-flow forecasts and management information. Our business advice is based upon many years of experience and we are also regulated to advise on a range of investment business activities.


We are registered auditors, authorised and regulated by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. In addition to statutory audits, we also provide specialist services which include the audit of charity accounts, solicitors, social clubs and associations and accounts requiring audit by the Financial Conduct Authority.


We provide both compliance and tax planning services. Areas covered include personal tax, corporation tax, VAT, machine games duty, PAYE, national insurance, inheritance and capital gains tax.


We advise on all aspects of business start-up, including consideration of business structure, compilation of business plans and cash-flow forecasts, company formation and registration with HM Revenue & Customs.

Record Keeping

We offer ongoing administration support in the form of record-keeping, completion of VAT returns and CIS services, either by processing the information ourselves or providing training to enable our clients to maintain their own records.

Payroll Services

We provide a full bureau service which covers all aspects of payroll processing, including RTI, year-end reporting, pension auto-enrolment and construction industry returns. We also provide assistance to businesses who maintain their own payroll records.


Paul Gallant

Paul Gallant – Director

Paul is the practice senior partner and has been with the firm for over 40 years. He has a sound knowledge of a vast range of businesses which include charities, the medical profession and farming. Paul is registered as an auditor with ICAEW.

Jenny Mulholland

Jenny Mulholland – Director

Jenny joined the firm in 1987 after graduating from Warwick University, and qualified as a chartered accountant in 1991. After raising a family, she became a partner in 2007. Jenny has a wealth of experience in general practice, tax and is also registered as an auditor with ICAEW.

Lee Brown

Lee Brown – Manager

Lee joined the practice in 1989. He has nearly 30 years’ experience of advising and assisting a wide variety of clients in accounts and taxation matters.

Helen Spauls

Helen Spauls – Manager

Helen joined the firm in 2000 and, after qualifying as a chartered accountant in 2007, carried on to qualify as a chartered tax advisor in 2008. She works closely with Paul and she also has a wide knowledge of tax and general practice.

Suzanne Wright

Suzanne Wright – Manager

Suzanne started her working life as a tax officer in H M Revenue and Customs. She came to the firm in 1997 and now manages the tax department which deals with payroll, construction industry tax, auto-enrolment and personal tax.

Christine Cross

Christine Cross – Office Administrator

Chris is the firm’s longest serving employee having joined in 1972. She is one of the friendly faces you will first encounter when coming into reception. Chris is a skilled secretary and prides herself on keeping our administration in order.
